Warranty
A 30-Year Limited Warranty on the Vinyl
The vinyl in your fence is covered by the manufacturer for thirty years against rotting, rusting, cracking and splitting under normal use. We handle the claim for you.
What Is Covered
Every vinyl component of your fence — the posts, the rails, the planks and the caps — carries a thirty-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. Under normal use they will not rust or rot, and they are warranted against cracking, splitting, peeling, flaking, blistering and corroding.
This is our manufacturer’s warranty. Cedaris registers your purchase and handles the claim on your behalf.
The Conditions
- Keep your invoice
- A claim needs proof of purchase and the date. We hold a copy of every invoice we issue, so if you lose yours, ask us.
- Register within 30 days
- The manufacturer requires the purchase to be registered with them within thirty days. We do that for you when you buy from us — one less thing to remember in year eleven.
- Claims come to us first
- You deal with Cedaris, not with a factory overseas. We confirm what has failed and put the claim to the manufacturer.
- Parts are returned carriage paid
- The failed parts come back to us, with the owner covering the shipping. We take it from there.
- The remedy is the part
- An approved claim is settled by replacing the part or refunding it, at the manufacturer’s choice. The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover the labour to remove and refit it — talk to us about that separately if we installed your fence.
Making a Claim
- ONE
Send us photographs
Email or call with your invoice number and a few clear pictures of the part that has failed.
- TWO
We assess it
We confirm what failed and whether it falls inside the warranty. If it does not, we will tell you that too, and quote the repair.
- THREE
We put it to the manufacturer
We raise the claim with your registration and proof of purchase, and arrange the return of the failed parts.
- FOUR
The part is replaced
An approved claim comes back as a replacement part or a refund. We will match it to the rest of your run.
